Joeh. Moren min jobber på krisesenter, og det skal ha jubileum snart, yay. Der skal jeg synge. Så jeg skrev da en sang. Teksten er her:
ONE MISSED CALL
You’ve got a friend called Catherine
She lives a few blocks away
From the house you’re living in
Catherine has a boyfriend
He’s prince Charming number one
Unlike yours, who comes home
And asks if the football match already has begun
In the summertime Cathy covers up
You have never seen her before
In a shorts, a skirt or a top
She never wears bikini
Not a day without make-up on her face
You think it’s weird
But it’s probably just a phase
How can you let her stand on her own?
You call her when she’s home
But she never answers the phone
While he is yelling and screaming
He bangs her head against the wall
Dear Catherine
You have one missed call
It’s twelve pm and you’re out having tea
You talk about your husband;
How lazy is it possible to be?
You say he’s a pain in the neck
Catherine nods and replies
But when she does
You can see a twinge of grief in her eyes
How can you let her stand on her own…
One night Cathy comes over
And asks if she can stay
You finally get the point
When you notice the bruises on display
She’s crying “I think we got into a fight
I always had the feeling
That something wasn’t right”
You know it’s not the first time they fought
Catherine’s old boyfriend
Wasn’t as charming as you thought
Your own man might be lazy
But he doesn’t bang your head against the wall
Dear Catherine
Your phone is broken
No more one missed call
